TV One’s Wafa Ka Mausam

The recent ban on the neighboring countryy’s channels has somewhat brought back the Pakistani TV drama watchers. This has resulted in the launch of dozens of dramas after a couple of months. Like everything else, there are some hits and some misses in the TV industry too. Some dramas come up with new and grabbing plots, while some repeat the same mainstream content and lose the audience’s interest.

Amidst all this content war, another drama serial Wafa Ka Mausam is being launched by TV One. If we talk about the cast, the drama sure has some remarkable artists like Aijaz Aslam, Neelam Munir, Shafqat Cheema, Haya and Adnan Jeelani. The launch of Wafa ka Mausam was done in Patio in which noted celebrities from the industry, active socialites and bloggers were invited.

Wafa ka Mausam’s plot revolve around love - the love of two men for Neelam Munir and the unconditional love between Neelam and her father. However, sadly, somewhere in between love, the cruel power of ego overshadows everything else and this is where the twist comes in. It would be interesting to see which love wins at the end or will it be the ego that outshines everything else? (Hoping so that it never happens though)

While talking about her role in the drama, Neelam has said that this is going to be one of her best performances in which she has given her cent percent and is really looking forward to getting some Wafa from the viewers too!

If you look at the promo and first episode of Wafa Ka Mausam, you will be very disappointed to see the same story that we have been watching since the childhood. However, the cinematography, star cast and the touch of modernism here and there are some elements that seem to uplift the overall appeal of the drama. And, honestly, these are the only things that will play a great role in dragging this just-another-drama’s TRP to some extent.

Hopefully, in the days to come, our writers and producers learn the trick to break the monotony and come up with some unique content. Otherwise, with all due respect, our audience will get back to watching the fancy-yet-catchy Indian and Turkish dramas, taking away a large chunk of profits with them.
